To the pure, all things are pure.

Read that real slowly and think about it.

All things are pure to those that are pure.

If there is one challenge we face the more life and circumstance we experience, it is the pursuit of a pure heart.

Is it even possible to have the fruit of the spirit in your life if your heart is polluted with anger, bitterness, and a jaded bias?

I suspect this scripture makes the conclusion pretty obvious.

“And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” Romans 5:5

How important is it to have a pure heart? “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.”
Matthew 5:8
Seems pretty important.
“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10
I recognize that having a pure heart is a task to great for me by myself. However, I do believe that the same Grace of God that can save me, His Holy Spirit, can help me truly have a clean heart.

That is my prayer for myself, and hope you will pray for that for your own heart.

The simple fact, a pure heart does not happen without a serious pursuit and desire to have one.
