There is one God.

Every false teaching concerning the Godhead limits who Jesus is.

Key scriptural fact.

The Godhead is in Jesus, Jesus is not in the Godhead.

Either prophetically Paul dealt with the error of limiting who Jesus is and is not, or that same error was around then.

Colossians 2:8-10
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

We know that there is only one saving name.

Father is not a name.
Son is not a name.
Holy Ghost is not a Name.

But there is a Name.

The name of the father, the son and the HOly Ghost is wrapped up in the Name of Lord Jesus Christ.

In like Manner, Jesus is the visible manifestation of the Jehovah God.

When Saul, the great persecutor of the Church. He thought Christians were blaspheming the Lord, Jehovah for saying Jesus is God.

When he heard a great voice, he saw a great light, He prayed and said,

Who are you Lord, (Jehovah) There is only one Lord…

The Lord (Jehovah) says back, I am Jesus.

Paul was converted at that simple truth.

Notice the Answer was not, “I am three coequal, coexistent, coeternal persons in the Godhead. He gave him a simple answer, “I am Jesus.”

That is the simple faith that was and is complicated by academics and philosophers influenced by the non-monotheistic thinking of many of that day.

How many Gods are there? One? Yes!

How many names are there that are underheaven whereby we are saved? One? Yes!

How many Lords are there?

Most believers don’t believe that there are three persons that make up God, even if they give a nod to the word trinity.

Jesus is God. And in Him, in his Person, he personified God.

Mystery some say?

Again, the answer of that mystery is in scripture. The answer is not a trinity of persons,

1 Timothy 3:16
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Notice the prophesied name of Jesus. Look at all of the qualifications filled.

Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
