Beerlahairoi – The Well of the One That Sees Me
I find this very interesting. A source of water whose reputation, it belongs to the God that watches me. There is a well that belongs to God, specifically, the God that is watching “over” me.
There is an all-seeing eye watching me. In all of its implications.
He sees my secrets. He sees my failures. He sees my victories. He sees my hopes and dreams.
He is watching. Like a father watches over his children. A shepherd watching over his sheep.
God sees all.
Three times in Genesis, this well is mentioned.
There are places where we have a deeper sense of God is watching.
Some would avoid that place.
Isaac chose to live there.
Reminds me of this verse in John three,
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
To embrace the reality and drink in the virtue of a God who we want to live in a realm of conscience ….
Like a kid out in the yard looking up and seeing their father looking out the window,
“Hey Dad, watch this…”
To walk in the light.
To fellowship one with another.
The blood of Jesus cleansing us from all sin.
1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
