Watching a documentary about Isreal,

I heard the narrator say something that caught my attention. I had to rewind it and write it down because I felt there were some insights from the basic facts about this tree, it’s fruit, and the process that produces the oil.
While in view of the ancient city, the olive and olive trees grow in the shadow of the walls of Jerusalem. A resident says of the olive and olive tree,
“The Olive tree gives without taking.
The olive trees give us the olive without having to do anything for it. What we do with the olive produces the blessing and benefit to us.” The narrator continues, The olives are taken to a communal press; in this place shared by everyone, the olive paste is pressed into a weeping mass. The fresh oil, after filtering, becomes a golden liquid poured into vessels to be taken home.
