” ..evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”

The vital gift we need today is discernment.

Can we discern who the evil men and seducers are?

Can we discern when the pendulum is swinging further and further into darkness?

Can we discern the deception and the growing darkness as the war on truth and light is at a fevered pitch?

“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”

May I add, calling a woman a man and a man a woman? Woe.

“He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are an abomination to the LORD.” Proverbs 17:15

“Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD,” Malachi 2:17

Here is the challenge. Sometimes it is very easy to point at gross darkness and iniquity and ignore the darkness and iniquity that abides in our hearts.

We can justify that which we should do and don’t and that which we do that we should not if there is this gross darkness.

Rather than shine brighter and brighter as darkness becomes more tangible, some seem to be satisfied with a 10-watt bulb rather than upping our commitment to shine as a 150-watt bulb.

While evil waxes worse and worse, the righteous become less and less.

Let us not spend so much energy decrying the wickedness that we drain our wattage in shining brighter and brighter.

The power of God will influence our culture for good flowing through us.

Prayer, evangelism, intercession, worship, and being distinctive in our life in living, walking, talking, thinking, and acting like the children of God, rather than just another side of disagreement like politicians.

We will not win souls by being reporters and outraged at the wickedness around us.

It requires no virtue to demonstrate outrage.

It does require faith and wisdom to step into the breach and understand what needs to be done.

Discernment.

Not just to diagnose the problem, but to know what needs to be done.

Diagnosis is powerful.

Paired with a Holy Ghost powered mandate will provide the greatest benefit.
