(I believe every Christian needs to grasp this principle truth. Every sinner must have the truth of this impressed on their minds.)
GOD IS NOT IN CONTROL
The Bible is a book about DECISIONS, not destiny.
Adam and Eve made decisions. God gave them options.
How could a man rape a woman if God is on control?
How could murder and debauchery exist if God was in control?
God is in control.
It’s a comforting statement that is a lie!
Why are there car accidents?
Why were thousands of Christians martyred this past year?
Why is there war?
Why are some Christians poor?
Why do some marriages end in horrific battles and pain? If God is in control???
If God is in control, why are you locking your house at night, securing your money in a bank, and wearing a seat belt?
If God is in control, then why are we instructed to be taught? Why are we instructed to teach our children? Why are we told to get knowledge and understanding?
Isaiah 1:17 tells us to “learn to do well.”
Deuteronomy 28, the first 14 verses are linked to
OBEDIENCE.
IF GOD IS IN CONTROL, THEN OBEDIENCE HAS NO REWARD.
For most of us the statement “God is in control” means that God is involved in our life, and it means what the enemy means for evil; God will turn for good.
Some sing the old song “Whatever will be, will be!”
That has to be the most ignorant song ever written.
IF GOD WERE IN CONTROL OF EVERYTHING, IT WOULD BE AN ABSURDITY TO INVEST WISDOM, UNDERSTANDING, AND INFORMATION.
It wouldn’t make any difference.
IF GOD IS IN CONTROL OF EVERYTHING, MY DECISIONS ARE UNNECESSARY.
Yet 331 times in the Bible, God says
“IF….”
If my people will pray.
If you will be willing and obedient.
If you worship me.
If you heed my instructions.
If you will hun me yourselves.
“IF” means you participate.
In fact, on earth, “IF” means I AM THE ACTIVATOR OF DIVINE DESIRES!
I activate divine design.
I unleash God’s will on the earth.
Your decision to obey.
Your decision to “Go!”
Your decision to forgive.
Your decision to do well.
Your decision to obey over 70 laws in the Word!
Jesus said, “I am not willing that any should perish” YET, 1,000’s are perishing!
GOD’S WILL IS RARELY DONE; Why? Because it is based on OUR DECISIONS!
The phrase “GOD IS IN CONTROL” is a marvelous way to remove ourselves from responsibility for our circumstances.
It’s a popular statement because it is so comforting.
You don’t have to be a learner. The pursuit of a teacher is unnecessary.
You don’t have to get an understanding to make good decisions.
You can blame God for everything that doesn’t go right or turn out well.
So, whatever happens, happens…and you just have to adapt.
Hebrews 11 says men used their faith in different ways. Some endured and some escaped. Both are a decision.
Some things are God’s responsibility.
Some are mine.
This is where MY DECISIONS come into play.
I AM IN CONTROL, NOT GOD. I am claiming
equality with God. I am not saying you are God.
I am saying that God set things in order by laws, keys, understanding, knowledge, options, and functions.
THE REST IS UP TO YOUR DECISIONS.
This is wisdom.
Hosea 4:6, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”.
AN EXPERIENCE DOES NOT CREATE A SUPERNATURAL LIFESTYLE.
THE NEW BIRTH DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE WILL OF GOD WILL BE DONE.
THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST DOES NOT ENSURE YOU WILL WALK IN THE SPIRIT.
AN EXPERIENCE IS A BIRTHING; the pursuit thereafter is wisdom!
The Word of God is the wisdom of God.
The wisdom of God gives us options that, when we make decisions, CHANGE OUR LIFE!
Change the world! Change the church!
The Holy Ghost is called “the Spirit of Wisdom”!
Wisdom doesn’t come through genetics.
Spiritual wisdom doesn’t just come from speaking in tongues.
Pain does not create wisdom; it activates a passion for wisdom.
Watch carefully…..
Proverbs 4:5-8

Get wisdom, get understanding:
forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee:
love her, and she shall keep thee.
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom:
and with all thy getting get understanding.
Exalt her, and she shall PROMOTE THEE :
she shall BRING THEE to honour, when thou dost embrace her.
WISDOM MOVES YOU FROM WHERE YOU ARE TO A NEW PLACE WHEN YOU HEED IT!
It will promote you —— upward movement.
It will bring thee—— horizontal movement.
YOU WERE MADE FOR MOVEMENT!
WISDOM BRINGS THIS MOVEMENT!
Wisdom brings you to promotion!
Proverbs 4:9
She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace:
a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.
Look at verse 20…
Proverbs 4:20
My son, attend to my words;
incline thine ear unto my sayings.
He didn’t say, “study my miracles”. He said “attend to my words”.
Proverbs 4:21-23
Let them not depart from thine eyes;
keep them in the midst of thine heart.
For they are life unto those that find them,
and health to all their flesh.
Keep thy heart with all diligence;
for out of it are the issues of life.
KEEP YOUR HEART BY WISDOM!!
Make decisions by the wisdom of God!
