Doubt comes by hearing and hearing by the questioning of the Word of God.

Since the beginning, Satan has conspired to deceive man out of the blessings of God by seeking to invalidate truth by planting doubt and asking questions, and finally disputing the explicit declarations of scripture.

Sadly, the source of most questions today that assault Christians is not from the realm of atheism, but rather echos down the long halls of Theological Academia.
It makes this scripture stand out as in such bright truth.

” For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. ” 2 Corinthians 11:13-15

As believers, we must be sure that we don’t allow the doubters of the word of God to be more vocal or stringent in their making of doubt than we as believers do in the defending of the faith.

Debate and disagreement may not be very comfortable or polite sometimes, however, we must recognize this statement is maybe even more crucial in the realm of faith than any other.

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” Edmund Burke

The base ingredient of evil is doubt. Adam and Eve, damned themselves and the world until this day because they allowed their mind to entertain questions that led them to ignore the warning and principle of God and His Word.

Sadly in areas of faith and doctrine, too often believers play the quiet game and silently hope someone speaks up and takes the arrows of criticism.

Worse, they lack the wisdom to see why it matters.
