“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.” Ps 37:23

Could it be one reason this is true is a good man knows, loves, and seeks to honor God in His Walk?

Many people like to judge themselves on self-evaluation, and not motivation. If you honor God above yourself is the attitude that puts you in the best position to be blessed.

Self, promotion of self leads to the very things self does not want. However, when one fully submits to the Lord, that which is desired will happen organically through the favor of God.

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.” John 12:24

The seed must give up its identity as a seed, and die, to become the plant that produces fruit. The transformation of the seed.

The first part of this scripture is quoted by many, however, the key factor in this scripture is the last part.

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”Romans 8:28

If you do not live a life that exemplifies your love for God and allow yourself to be motivated by righteous purposes, everything is not, and cannot work out for good.

The x-factor in the equation of life is our motivation and attitude toward God and the values that we know please God.

“And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.” Daniel 12:3

Our compass on all things should be,

“Does this please God?”
