DO YOU REALLY KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT THE DEVIL?
Before Calvary, Satan and the kingdom of darkness had a legitimate system on earth. He operated within the dominion that he legally obtained by Adam’s forfeiture. Even the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are Old Testament books that reveal the type of dominion Satan had.
However, Jesus Christ and his sacrifice on Calvary spoiled every principality and power, making a show of them openly, nailing every ordinance against us to that cross. (Col 2:15) Jesus, the second Adam, took back the keys (authority, access) from Satan and triumphed over Him in ultimate victory.
Satan does not have keys.
Satan does not have legitimate authority. Satan and his highly organized layered system operate the same way but NOT with dominion.
If Satan still has territorial dominion, then why Calvary?
If nothing changed at Calvary after Christ spoiled principalities and powers, why not Calvary?
The greatest act of Spiritual Warfare ever was CALVARY!
Jesus said, “How can you spoil a strong man’s house unless you first bind the strong man?” He was speaking of himself, not you and not me! Jesus bound the strong man on Calvary! We are spoiling his house; his previous place of operation. The victory has already been achieved! (Mark 3)
We don’t “take authority”; we exercise the authority given to us by the divine exchange!
So, how does Satan work AFTER Calvary? By DECEPTION!… (John 8:44)
This is how he steals, kills, and destroys!
He has to get you to believe that he is still in control. He rules by lies. He is the abba/father (source) of lies!
He is the “prince of darkness”.
Prince means “first rule”.
Darkness in Greek is “ignorance”.
Satan is the first to rule by ignorance!
The greatest spiritual warfare in our day is NOT praying and fasting against territorial spirits; they have been spoiled! We are not working for victory, folks; we are working FROM VICTORY! The greatest warfare we have is BETWEEN OUR EARS!
He blinds minds.
He speaks lies.
When we believe them, they become strongholds or mindsets; they must be cast down!…and we must agree with God’s Word! (2 Cor 10:5)
The greatest weapon Satan has against you is your own ignorance.
If you don’t know who you are.
If you don’t understand your sonship.
If you don’t realize you are dividing the spoils of Calvary.
If you don’t recognize he has no authority, even though he can still move, battle, fight, and resist (power).
We are DISPLACING his system, bringing a kingdom in it’s place!
You are seated with Christ in heavenly places far above all principality and power! (Ephesians 2:6) Jesus is an Old Testament shadow and tule of our sonship! What he operated in a while on earth, ge opened for us to operate and live in by Calvary – sonship!!!
Either Calvary happened or it didn’t!
Either Jesus took the keys or he didn’t!
Either Jesus bound the strong man or he didn’t!
Jesus prophecies to Peter and to us that “whatsoever we bind on earth would be bound in heaven and whatsoever we loose in earth would be loosed in heaven.” The Greek translation says, “Whatsoever you unlock on earth will be what has ALREADY BEEN UNLOCKED in Heaven, and whatsoever you lock on earth will be what I have ALREADY LOCKED in heaven.” In other words, the locking and unlocking have already been accomplished at Calvary; you are just going into the world to bring that kingdom reality to earth.
Know who you are!
Don’t get into devil chasing, but displacing!
Walk in your sonship.
Displace the illegitimate kingdom of darkness with understanding, preaching the good news from a good God who loves people!
It’s time we get to really know the devil…..and ourselves!
