“For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.” Isaiah 54:9

I heard this scripture while in the early moments of this Sunday morning.

We wonder why God allows so much of the unrighteousness in our world go unpunished.

The reason is, God swore, the waters of Noah would not go over the earth.

If we are honest, the only reason we are alive, sane, and saved today is the sheer mercy of God.
“the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; ” 2 Peter 3:15

God desires to see the wayward return.
God desires to see the sinner repent.
God desires the wicked to forsake his ways.

God is willing to wait.

And even today, he is waiting.

Be warned, there is a window where God will wait and when that window shuts, the door is shut and your time is passed.

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9
