Salt and Light.

Jesus declared that is what we are redeemed to be. To be distinct, to season, to preserve, and to influence the world around us. To be seen and known as a light for righteousness.

We, as believers, have a mandate to be distinct and unique from the world around us.  We have arrived at a day when people have no idea what that means.  I would suggest IF there is no difference between what you say, do, go, look or act than everyone else in the world, there is but one conclusion. Your light has gone out, and your salt is no longer of value.

The question must be asked, “Why?”  The answer can be complicated.

Ignorance, stubbornness, rebellion, or cowardice.

Christianity has become a group that is ignorant to major themes in the realm of expectations for those who claim the Godin the Bible.

Why is that?

Because people do not read the Bible for themselves.  The leaders no longer holistically teach the scripture.  Sadly a common method of Christian teaching only about the blessing, favor, and hopeful aspects.

However, the Bible, without the contrast to blessing, favor, and hope is not a Bible. Christianity as presented in too many places is not Christianity.

It’s Hedonism wrapped in christianmess paper.

This is a tragedy for one main reason.  To fully understand what righteousness is, you must understand what is unrighteous.  To fully understand what holiness is, you must understand what is unholy.  To fully understand what goodness is, you must understand what wickedness is.

” Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor [a]homosexuals, nor [b]sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.”1 Corinthians 6:9-10

I want to be sure I don’t leave this next part off because it is quite instructive.

11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were [d]sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

When you experience the power of Jesus Christ, he does not leave you the way he finds you.

God will take you as you are, no matter how broken, dysfunctional, sad, or sinful you may be. Come as you are.

However, he loves you too much to leave you that way.

Through the power of Jesus, he wants to transform you being defined by your sin into redefined into what God has made you.

Redefine the nature and reality of yourself.

Saint, Child of God, Faithful, Prayerful, Hopeful, and Blessed.

Salt and Light.

If you and I don’t allow the grace and power of the Gospel to call us of our world of wicked doings into a reality of righteous beings, the grace of God, we have failed it.

“Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; “”Hebrews 12:15

Let us allow the working power of the Holy Spirit to transform us into a higher dimension of “being.”

We become a living testimony of the delivering power of the Grace of God.

From corrupted darkness into salty light!
